It is with heavy hearts we advise our clients and friends of the loss on 3 May 2020 of one of our founding partners and the firm’s namesake, David Heaney QC.
A mighty totara has fallen.
David was a brilliant and fearless advocate and a warm and generous person. He was a force of nature, the controller of mediation rooms, a mentor and a teacher to many of us.
David left us for the independent bar in 2015. He left a hole that was impossible to fill because there was no one else like him. We are proud to have his name over our door and we will honour him and his legacy.
We send our love and deepest condolences to his beloved family, Denese, Elizabeth, James, Julia, Alexandra, Maebh and Colum and his faithful PA and right hand woman, Katrina. Thank you for sharing David with us for so many years.
