This was a professional liability claim. We acted for the council. The claim settled without the developer contributing towards settlement. We proceeded to obtain judgment against it by way of formal proof. The developer was ordered to reimburse the council 85% of the amount the council paid to settle the claim. This result is an example of us working towards settling claims for our clients for the best amount possible and then pursuing the liable and solvent parties who refuse to settle.
