recognised leaders in the development of the law of negligence

Dew graduated from the University of Waikato in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. She was admitted to the New Zealand bar in 2013.

Dew is an experienced Immigration Law practitioner having spent nearly a decade working on complex matters, including Ministerial Special Directions, appeals to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal, refugee applications, medical and character waivers, visa and citizenship applications, as well as representing Licensed Immigration Advisors in disciplinary matters. Dew’s work in this space included a particular focus on the rights of children and victims of domestic violence.

More recently, Dew’s experience has broadened to include contentious and non-contentious Employment Law matters including collective bargaining in the aviation industry, disciplinary investigations, personal grievances, contractual interpretation disputes and mediation.

Dew joined our Employment Law Team in November 2024 and works with Paul Robertson on indemnity issues that arise in the context of employment liability insurance claims.

Dew is personable in her approach to clients, having represented people from diverse backgrounds and often when they are distressed. She provides pragmatic advice that is clear, concise and correct.

Outside of work, Dew prioritises spending quality time with her young daughter, husband and their family and friends.
