Joy graduated from the University of Auckland in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to the New Zealand Bar in 2018.

She worked as a solicitor and advocate for a union, providing expert advice on all aspects of employment law, privacy, and aviation law.

With extensive experience in collective bargaining, Joy is dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes for her clients through strategic, pragmatic, and solution-focused approaches. She excels at quickly identifying the key issues at the heart of employment relationship problems and developing tailored solutions to meet her clients' desired outcomes.

Her prior experience has allowed her to cultivate strong advocacy skills and a deep commitment to community engagement. Known for her excellence in mediation and interest-based approach, Joy consistently receives positive feedback from clients for her attentive care and ability to resolve and settle claims efficiently.
